Colorado

Well we have been in Colorado since July, I have to say we live in a beautiful area.
Our house is located on a Golf course, we have amazing views and the neighborhood is quiet.
Pat has settled into his position here nicely, and I am currently enjoying a little peace and quiet, in other words I am bored. LOL
We have visited Cripple Creek and have gone to the top of Pikes Peak, and one of the most beautiful places ever, the Garden of the Gods.
Four years is a long time to some people and I have met some Canadians here who cannot wait to get back to Canada, and as much as I would like to be there I can not believe how beautiful it is here.
I miss my friends and my family, but I keep in contact, hard not to when we have e-mail, the phone, skype, facebook and what not. It's a modern world and it makes it easier to know that even though I am so far from them physically that they are still always there for me and I can still be there for them.
So I am taking this adventure one day at a time and will make the most of the opportunities that we are given.
We have made some good friends already, and the hockey season has started up already so I get to watch Pat play and ref. Yup, a little piece of Canada here in Colorado( as the league is comprised of Force members here from Canada, with a couple of Americans here and there.)
Hope everyone is doing well, and I really must try to blog more often.

A new year...

The new year is upon us, and there is so much to do. Finally got our passports now I just have to go get my green one. Soon it will be time to go through the house and start throwing some stuff away and organizing everything else in order to take inventory and start packing everything away that we are not going to need in the next few months leading up to the move. It is still hard to believe that we are going to be moving to Colorado.
Not sleeping so well lately but hopefully that will not last too long.
Hope everyone enjoyed their holidays.

It's been awhile, a long while.

Alright so what is all new and exciting with me?
It's as good a place as any to start I suppose.
Yesterday we went to Edmonton and applied for our passports.
That's right I am finally getting a passport, which means I will be leaving Canada.
I will be getting my military issued passport in the new year.
Now why would I be getting a military passport?
Well it seems that Pat and I will be moving to Colorado Springs In June as he is getting posted, and I need to have the military issued passport so that I can stay their the entire time and not 6 months there and then back to Canada for 6 months without my husband.
Yes, I said Husband. Pat and I finally got married, in a back yard ceremony on September 25th of 2010.(YAYYYY)
Those are the biggest things that have happened in my life as of late. Enjoy your day.

Breathing is easy.

Life is easy but living is hard?
Why is that?
We have life, but it is what we do with it that is living.
Sometimes we just don't know what to do.
Recently saw something about a homeless man in the states who was saving a woman from being mugged and he was stabbed while an looker on took pictures/video with their cell phone.
I have to say that the man who was homeless had more integrity, more heart and a better life worth than that person with the phone.
It makes me wonder where the human race really is on the evolutionary ladder.

Wow my last post on here was in November of 2008, hard to believe that it has been that long.
Just a quick note to say yes I am still here, and yes I am still kicking, not so much singing anymore but still kicking just the same.
I am not yet sure as to whether or not I am going to start blogging on a regular basis again, I might, just not sure yet.
So If you are someone who needs to get a hold of me, or are just wondering if I am doing alright most of you know how to get in touch with me on facebook.
Hope all is well with everyone out there.

Been Awhile

Ok, so it has become my customary action to only blog once every few months or so...more the or so than anything else...
We have had the boys all weekend and I have enjoyed it, I am also enjoying the peace of nap time right now, which I know will not last for long and since it is now that the dishwasher is still running I have not been able to jump in the shower as I had planned..I will have to get Alexander up shortly and then the baby will be waking up..so looks like it will just have to be Pat to the rescue. LOL.

of Birthdays and homemade cake

Yes, here we are, Friday the 13th, which those of you who really know me know I love.
This time around more to Love as it is June 13th, my loving hubby's birthday.
I made his cake last night and decorated it after work, we had Darcy and Shantel come over with the boys and had supper, an array of meat cooked by Pat on the bbq and a Potato Salad made by me.

The Cake I made was a marble cake, vanilla frosting with a mixture of cool whip, vanilla ice cream, and oreo in the middle of it, and then more oreo as additional decor. It came out very well and everyone enjoyed.

A good evening, with good friends, celebrating the birth of the man I love so much.
