Sometimes it is hard for me to know what to write here. This spaces isn't just my own personal thoughts afterall, it is my outlet to you, my family and friends.
Things are going well here, hard to believe that in just over a month I will have been here for a year. I miss you all and can't wait to see you in December.
Starting to think that I need a desk job, my knee is giving me a fit and I need to be able to function without pain, and lately that just isn't happening..so I am thinking about what I want to do. I need to be working though, just to keep myself occupied.

Not much going on to report, Pat goes away next week, he is going to Trenton, he should be back home sometime on the 20th...
That's all for now, Love to All.

Nothing Much

Well Pat didn't say anything about the hair color, I know he likes the cut though, he likes my hair short too...
I will take his lack of opinion on the color to be that he either doesn't care or he doesn't like it, but it would be nice to have an opinion.
He treated me to supper last night at Pizza Hut...I chose where not him....

Anyway, things are getting busy around here with Male Flag starting up.
There are people here from all over the bloody place.

So with that said and nothing else said I would like to share these very simple home remedies with you.

AMAZINGLY SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES

If you are choking on an ice cube, don't panic. Simply pour a cup of boiling water down your throat and, presto, the blockage will be almost instantly removed!

Clumsy? Avoid cutting yourself while slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them while you chop away.

You can avoid arguments with your wife about lifting the toilet seat just by using the sink.

For high blood pressure sufferers: Simply cut yourself and bleed out for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins. Remember to use an egg timer!

A mouse trap placed on top of your alarm clock will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button.

Have a bad toothache? Smash your thumb with a hammer and you will forget all about the toothache.

If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives. Then you will be afraid to cough.

And in your tool kit you'll only need two items: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move but should, use the WD-40. If it moves but shouldn't, use the duct tape.

Long Day

I had to work for 11am until 7pm, of course got there just after 7am...So since my hair has been a pain in the rear lately I decided at 9am to go and get it cut, I also figured since they were at it I should get it dyed, so I had my hair cut bleached, then dyed and styled to a grand total of $71 which out here isn't bad at all($40 on average for me to get a haircut normally and then whatever I would spend for dye and bleach)...
Pat doesn't know, I won't see him until after 9pm, which is an hour away from now, don't know what he will think, he will notice but most likely not say anything.
I was lucky and got off work at 6:30 pm becasue I didn't take a break.
I work tommorow from 10am-4pm...yay me.
Later all.

I opened my e-mail today to find something from my cousin, Erin. A Mother's Day message..so instead of sending it on to all of the mother's tht I know I thought I would share it here instead.
Mothers

This is for the mothers who have sat up all night with sick toddlers in
Their arms, wiping up throw up aced with Oscar Mayer wieners and cherry
Kool-Aid saying, "It's alright honey, Mommy's here."

Who have sat in rocking chairs for hours on end soothing crying babies who
Can't be comforted.

This is for all the mothers who show up at work with spit-up in their hair
And milk stains on their blouses and diapers in their purse.

For all the mothers who run carpools and make cookies and sew Halloween
Costumes. And all the mothers who DON'T.

This is for the mothers who gave birth to babies they'll never see. And
The mothers who took those babies and gave them homes. And for the motherswho
Lost their baby in that precious 9 months that they will never get to
Watch grow on earth but one day will be reunited with in Heaven!

This is for the mothers whose priceless art collections are hanging on
Their refrigerator doors.
And for all the mothers who froze their buns on metal bleachers at football
Or soccer games instead of watching from the warmth of their cars, so that
When their kids asked, "Did you see me, Mom?" they could say, "Of course,
I wouldn't have missed it for the world," and mean it.

This is for all the mothers who yell at their kids in the grocery store
And swat them in despair when they stomp their feet and scream for ice cream
Before dinner. And for all the mothers who count to ten instead, but realize
How child abuse happens.

This is for all the mothers who sat down with their children and explained
All about making babies. And for all the (grand) mothers who wanted to,
But just couldn't find the words.

This is for all the mothers who go hungry, so their children can eat.
For all the mothers who read "Goodnight, Moon" twice a night for a year.
And
Then read it again. "Just one more time."

This is for all the mothers who taught their children to tie their
Shoelaces before they started school. And for all the mothers who opted for
Velcro Instead.

This is for all the mothers who teach their sons to cook and their
daughters
To sink a jump shot.

This is for every mother whose head turns automatically when a little
Voice calls "Mom?" in a crowd, even though they know their own offspring are at
Home -- or even away at college.

This is for all the mothers who sent their kids to school with stomach
Aches assuring them they'd be just FINE once they got there, only to get calls
From the school nurse an hour later asking them to please pick them up.
Right away.

This is for mothers whose children have gone astray, who can't find the
Words to reach them.

This is for all the step-mothers who raised another woman's child or
Children, and gave their time, attention, and love... sometimes totally
Unappreciated!

For all the mothers who bite their lips until they bleed when their
14-year-olds dye their hair green.

For all the mothers of the victims of recent school shootings, and the
Mothers of those who did the shooting.
For the mothers of the survivors, and the mothers who sat in front of
Their TVs in horror, hugging their child who just came home from school,
safely.

This is for all the mothers who taught their children to be peaceful, and
Now pray they come home safely from a war.

What makes a good Mother anyway? Is it patience? Compassion? Broad hips?
The Ability to nurse a baby, cook dinner, and sew a button on a shirt, all at
The same time? Or is it in her heart? Is it the ache you feel when you Watch your son or daughter disappear down the street, walking to school alone
For the very first time?

The jolt that takes you from sleep to dread, from bed
To crib at 2 A.M. to put your hand on the back of a sleeping baby?
The Panic, years later, that comes again at 2 A.M. when you just want to hear Their key in the door and know they are safe again in your home?
Or the Need to flee from wherever you are and hug your child when you hear news of a Fire, a car accident, a child dying?

The emotions of motherhood are universal and so our thoughts are for young
Mothers stumbling through diaper changes and sleep deprivation... And
Mature mothers learning to let go.

For working mothers and stay-at-home mothers.

Single mothers and married mothers.

Mothers with money, mothers without.

This is for you all.

For all of us.
Hang in there.
In the end we can only do the best we can.

Tell them every day that we love them and pray.

Please pass along to all the Moms in your life.

"Home is what catches you when you fall - and we all fall."
Please pass this to a wonderful mother you know. (I just did.)

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!

Happy Mother's Day

Called Mom before I went to work this morning, glad to hear her voice. I wished her a happy Mother's Day and then went off to the same old stuff. Work was busy today, but I'm glad that we were because it made the day pass quicker.

We gave Larry a haircut yesterday, Pat took pictures just have to get them off of his camera, so hopefully soon I can post them. He looks cute, plus you can actually see his eyes now.

Pat is going to bbq for supper and he went and got an icecream cake from DQ, he wouldn't tell me what he is making for supper though...
Oh Well.

Take Care and Love to you All.
For those of you who are mothers and those of you who are mother's to be, Happy Mother's Day.

My Weekend Alone

Well Pat went to Edmonton this weekend, I was fortunate that Liz was able to drive me back and forth to work, of course I gave her gas money so it's all good.
He left friday evening and will be home sometime tonight(sunday).
I don't mind staying alone, which is a really good thing.
Poor alrry layed outside of Pat's bedroom door for a bit last night and whined, it was cute.
But it was a good weekend. I work again tommorow(8-4) and I am off on Tuesday. Woohoo.
My leg is blood y well killing me though.
Anyway...Love to All.
