I can see again!

Finally I got my new glasses today, it is so nice to be able to see everything clearly again. Bought a new movie the other night, so Pat cooked supper tonight and we sat down to watch it...So if any of you haven't watched, "Night at the Museum", I reccommend watching it, it's a great famiy flick. I loved it.
Anyway, that's the news.

In the mail....

Imagine the look on my face when Pat brought home the mail today and hands me an envelope addressed to both of us. The Address is from Yarmouth.
I opened it to find a beautiful invitation to my cousin David's wedding set to take place this summer.
I was very touched that he would invite me to his wedding, and even more so that he took the time to find out my address so that he could send it to me. It really does mean alot, and makes me wish that I could attend the event all that much more.
That makes two of my cousins getting married this summer, two weddings that I will miss out on. Two that I very much wish that I could be a part of.
My well wishes go out to my cousins...I wish I could be there for your special days.

Cell Phones

Pat called, just before his lunch break to say we were going ot go get cell phones, that way we can keep in touch whne he has to go away.
So I have finally joined hte world of cellular users, never thought I'd have one...Never wanted one really still really don't..but oh well.
It will be nice to be able to text each other or call each other when he is gone away.
I jsut hope I don't break this thing.

V stayed over

V stayed over last night, took this of her and LArry this morning, bribing her to eat breakfast. Hey whatever works. right now she is sitting in the chair trying not to eata and Larry is watching her like a hawk.
He is really good with her and with her baby sister. The baby can be laying on the floor and he'll go over sniff at her and then lick her on the cheek and then just stay bye her and watch her....It really is sweet. Larry loves kids.

All in how you see things!

It's true, everything is all in how you see it. As most people have figured out, when it comes to me, I usually have a unique way of seeing things.
However when it comes to eyesight that's a different matter...
It's been about twelve years since I had my eyes tested(I know a long time to go without taking care of my eyes). I used to wear glasses, but for along time now my glasses really haven't been strong enough (about 6 years). Last week I finally had enough and made an eye appointment, which I went to today.
My vision isn't really bad or anything, but it's enough to be annoying, its actuall 20/25, so the perscription isn't really a strong one at all.
But within the next 7 to 10 days I will have my new glasses. Glad to say that I paid for the appointment and the frames and lenses myself today when I had my appointment. Pat asked me how much I paid total, so I told him, and what does he say, just think, If you had of waited until July you would only have had to pay half price. But it wan't bad at all, the appointment was $70, the frames were $24 and the lenses were $40, a grand total of $134. Do I know how to shop or do I know how to shop. Son't worry Mom, the frames look nice.
So that is the update for now.

18 degrees

Hrd to believe that it got up to 12 degrees here today after having it snow yesterday morning, and it is supposed to be beautiful over the weekend.
Well Mom, looks like you won't have to worry about me being alone for 6 weeks. Pat was told today that he won't be going away now where he is sick.
I wasn't looking forward tobeng alone, but at the same time I don't mind being alone either, the thing is as much as I don't want him to have to go, I know that eventually he is going to be gone away, and I figure the longer it is until he does the haarder it will be on me when the time finally arrives.
Go figure!

Happy Easter

Just a quick note to say hello to everyone. Happy Easter.
I have been working since thursday I work again tommorow and then I'm off on Tuesday.
YAY!
I've got two night shifts this week...BOOOOOOO!
Pat got me a really nice set of candle sconces to put on the wall, a giant kinder egg and a chocolate dog that kinda looks like Larry.
I got him the two disc set of Eragon, his fav chocolates and a teddy bear that I did up at build a bear, when you press it's paw it says, "I love you Pat!" in my voice. I is wearing camo gear with the beret and boots and dog tags.
